Target population:

135.000 permanent residents and a floating population of approximately 200.000 people who carry out different daily activities within that area.

1.210 Hectares (located in downtown Montevideo within the area defined by the following streets: Blvr. Artigas, Miguelete, La Paz, Rambla, 25 de Agosto, RamblaNaciones Unidas hasta Blvr. Artigas.).

Waste collection with side load containers :

The contract mainly involves managing a waste collection system using metal containers and side load waste collection trucks.

Ever since it was launched, this system has produced a significant change in the operation of waste collection in the city of Montevideo.

850 containers are distributed throughout the city in such a way that users do not have to walk more than 50m to discard their domestic waste.

A side load waste collection truck goes by periodically to pick up the waste and a container washing truck keeps containers clean.

Waste is deposited at a site specifically designed for this purpose, owned by the Municipality of Montevideo.

• 850 containers with a capacity of 2.4 m3 y 3.2 m3
